Step 6:
We start your service, yayyy!

If you choose our scans and more service we will also set up a preview as well, so that you may choose which scans you would like cleaned.
Step 7:
Your service is done! We will send you another itemized invoice for the remaining balance.
This invoice will include

Final cost of services rendered
Minus your deposit.
Step 8:

-
For scan only there will be 1 email consultation based on the form you filled out.
For scan and more, there will be 2.
The first one will be based on the form you filled out.
The second one will be based on the items themselves.
There has to be 2 consultations because until we receive the items and evaluate how much damage there is we can’t give you a proper cost estimate.
-
Payments will be split into deposit and final payment.
The deposit will be 50% of the total payment and this will be paid upfront and is not refundable. This will be based on the estimate given to you during the consultation(s). We will send you an itemized invoice for the deposit.
After your service is done we will send you another itemized invoice for the rest of your payment.
We can work out a payment plan as well. This payment plan does not include the deposit though. Deposit will be paid upfront. The payment plan will be set up to make sure that final payment is paid when the service is complete.
Please understand that the estimate is just that an estimate. Your final total may be more or less than what you were quoted. This is all dependent on time and the items you’ve sent.
Please note that payment is due when the service is done. You will not receive your items back until we have received the final payment.
-
Due to the fact that this is a digital service we do not do refunds.
-
We scan 35mm film, slide film, and printed photographs.
Printed photographs can be up to 8.5×11 inches.
-
Because we scan in a TIFF format you will only receive the final clean scans in a JPG format.
For those not familiar, a TIFF is a large file format that most professionals use when scanning film and other photographs. JPGs on the other hand are a smaller file format. It is the format that your phone takes in.
-
Sure, but for an additional cost. We can discuss this during the second consultation when going over the estimate. This will have to be requested at the beginning before we start your service.
-
After you fill out our form and have the first consultation we will send you our shipping instructions. You can also find our shipping instructions at the bottom of our website.
-
The length of time all depends on what items you send into us.
Here is an example of an easy order
You send in 10 rolls of 35mm film for scanning only, no cleaning. 1 roll of film takes ~2.5 hours to scan. It would take 3+ days to a week to complete all 10 rolls.
Here is a more difficult service.
You send in 10 heavily damaged printed photographs into us. Each photograph can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours of editing in photoshop. If they are on the 5 hour end of the spectrum it will take 5+ days up to 2 weeks to finish the work.
Start times depend on where you are in the wait queue. Your start date will be discussed as part of the 2nd consultation.
-
What comes in the box when you receive your items back will depend on what you send to us.
If you send us 35mm film and/or slide film, your film will come in protective sleeves.
If you send printed photographs, they will be sandwiched between sheets of acid free tissue paper.
All boxes will be filled with recycled paper packing for protection.
-
To ensure payment, you will not receive your items or scans until the final payment has been received by us.
-
At the bottom of our website we have a contact form that’s just for questions if you aren’t ready to purchase a service with us.
